XTRALOC Advanced Technology

For nearly two decades Xtraloc has been at the forefront of the development of high performance adhesive systems based on cyanacrylates and methyl methacrylate technology.

During this time is has developed in the region of 200 proprietary formulations to meet the specific needs of its global customer base. Today Xtraloc products are used in a very diverse range of applications in such industrial segments as automotive, transportation, aerospace, military hardware and electronics.

Its multi-disciplinary team, that comprises materials scientists and process engineers, is actively working on the next generation of adhesive systems that includes the use of novel monomers, ‘white label’ products, solid state cyanoacrylates. Alternative applications and uses for the technology are also being investigated.

For the methacrylate family Xtraloc is developing lower odour, lower flammability products and non-flammable products, non-corrosive products and systems with enhanced elongation. Another development programme that it is nearing completion is a UV curing platform.
